A one time watch with a cute experience.

Just when you read the director's name as KJo, you must make note of that the movie comprises of all the glamour in the world. The movie depicts three debutants in the lead roles Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra. They all study in a school where girls are seen wearing mini-skirts and beating even the fashionistas and guys coming to college in a Ferrari with designer clothes and astonishing look.

Yup, you see all this in a Karan Johar movie. This movie lacks the uniqueness when it comes to script and the screenplay. The school holds a competition for the Student Of The Year with almost all aspects of talents being tested. It takes an epic turn when the movie is torn apart with the two different acts are being overlapped that is the competitiveness among the students and the love triangle between the lead actors.

Even though, the director manages to combine everything in an interesting manner, what it leaves out the common sense and logic behind the procedural of the plot. Music is one of the exciting packages of the film with many of the songs topping the charts. Altogether, it lacks reality and logical sense, it provides an awful experience with Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra delivering a hot performance. Alia looks to be over-doing things at times.

A 3/5 for the direction and the cast making the movie a decent one in the recent times.
